Jolly decent ride out (or not as it happens)
A very frustrating day - started off weather wise Ok, then turned drizzly! And then turned into the French Riviera on the way home - so Hot Hot Hot!!!!
Frustrating as P's helmet ran out of charge 2 hours in to the ride so no chatting!! And to boot, the effing visor kept misting up as the liners were washed and must have been a bit damp so the moisture in the helmet kept misting the visor unless slightly cracked open - Riding in the dry is fine, but when it's raining it's effing miserable as the rain comes through the gap onto your face!!!
Road from Kington to Knighton closed - what is about mid wales and closing roads - it's almost like Germany!!!!!! Anyway the road over to Newtown was actually very good, despite P not being able to see much through the visor, other than the petrol gauge going down - got down to 6 miles left which is never good for stress levels. Just add that to the visor misting, no talking to Mrs C through the helmets so for P it was a thoroughly miserable ride!!!
Did have a good breakfast at Morrisons, although we'd have preferred a proper cafe.... just another source of frustration!!!!
We're also in a bad mood as Man U lost against Man Shitty - very dubious goal and they were down to 10 men!!!! Jeez could this day get any worse!! Going to sign off now and put that down to a crap ride - for P anyway, not sure if Mrs C and T were as disappointed as me, suspect not.
Oh and another thing, P did miss a junction and Mrs C was called into action by slapping him with both hands to get attention!!! Well done Caroline, that's what you're there for aswell - it's not just about the person riding the bike, the pillion has equal responsibility and on this occasion Mrs C took charge and we avoided a car having to break very heavily to stop!
It just reminds you that 100% concentration is required at all times, irrespective that the visor is misty, the intercom isn't working and you're running out of fuel - never let these things get in the way of riding properly, concentrating and staying safe!!!!
Here's to a much better ride out next weekend and that frigging helmet is in the drying room so no more moisture!!!!! New battery this week as well!!!!!
