Sproglet Ride Out
Well, a change of plan - this original blog was going to be "Worlds' End", but poor Dani has been ill (turned out to be Covid-19) and Mrs C wanted to ride up to Anglesey and pay a visit so she can check everything os OK.
Nearing the weekend, feeling brighter, Dani got her nails done and decided she was fit enough to go out on the bike and so a little ride up to Anglesey became a very nice day out on the bike with the Grrrrrndsprog coming too.
And then.... a brilliant curry!
Nails done, bikes cleaned and curry prep underway, P, C & T head for Anglesey the quick way. It was actually a very nice ride along the A55 with low volumes of traffic, lovely weather, clear skies - perfect.
Off around the island for an ice-cream at The Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay; wow, don't think we've seen it so busy. Bit noisy, as some inconsiderate bloke was blowing his paddle board up from the noisiest machine known to man and it took about 20 minutes! He just didn't care that it was affecting many people trying to have a nice time in the pub - oblivious to the disruption and I don't think he would have even cared anyway!!! Sorry, little rant about inconsiderate people!
Back home for a curry prepared by Geth (under the careful supervision I suspect) of Steff. It was a triumph; Lovely curry indeed thank you very much!
P,C & T opted for the long route home, over Pen-y-pass and through Betws. Even though it started to drizzle from Snowdon all the way back home, it was warm, not as many cars on the road as we expected and a thoroughly good choice.
An obligatory pint at the GL, although T has committed to a "dry August" so for once, missed out on a refreshing pint to start the night.
Summary - a bloomin' good day out with family.......
