Bank Hols Ride to Ffestiniog
Going to try a new café today up in the Ffestiniog hills. We have seen the Stwlan Dam from afar and know there is a café here, but never been.

The place itself, Lakeside Café, is quite nice, rustic got a good vibe and would certainly be a place in the summer that will be full of bikers. However the food was not fantastic - whilst cheap, the breaky left a bit to be desired, so. I do not think we'll be eating there again!!
Had a great run to Ffestiniog; it had been raining all bank holiday weekend, but this morning the sun was shining. Left at 10:30 a got a little wet with some unexpected showers on or way down the A483, but other than this, nothing. It was lovely weather. Very busy roads, being the final day of the summer holiday probably.
After breaky we returned via Ysbty Ifan - great single track road in places, over the mountains but not great when you get behind a motorhome going 25 mph. Long queue of cars, but nevertheless, still lovely riding and seeing the views.
Another motorhome from the A5 to Ruthin, so somewhat frustrating, but again, just ride slow and enjoy the views.
Good day out agin and planning to Elan Valley next week, hopefully T will get some new effing tyres!!!!!!!!!!
